INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON FRONTIER RESEARCH THEMES ON SERVICE SECTOR SUPPORT FOR FOOD VALUE CHAIN DEVELOPMENT IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES

An International Symposium on Frontier Research Themes on Service Sector support for Food Value Chain Development in Developing Countries will be co-organized by Renmin University of China (RUC) and International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) in Beijing, 10 April 2013. The symposium will cover various topis under food value chain development such as finance and risk mitigation services, distribution services and agricultural input services, findings and gaps in knowledge and methods. It will also push forward the initiative on China-India comparative studies in more targeted areas such as transformation, economic development pathway, and value chain development.
